2017-2018 Bicentenary Season

Our bicentenary season will start with our newly commissioned oratorio telling the dramatic biblical story of the life of John the Baptist (patron saint of Halifax):

The Holy Face

by Yorkshire composer Philip Wilby; text from biblical sources by Neville Boundy. This is an oratorio in the English tradition, with four soloists and a fulsome accompaniment.
